Showcase concerts canceled at Expo (El Paso Times)
This year's Expo Juárez concerts at the Poliforo Juan Gabriel have been canceled. No explanation was available. The Expo, with a health fair, amusement rides, rodeo, arts and crafts, and a zoo, continues through July 7 at the fairgrounds at Costa Rica and Colegio Militar avenues.

Murder trial for fugitive who said he ate girlfriend (Times Online)
A British fugitive who claimed to have killed and eaten his former girlfriend is to stand trial for murder, Spanish authorities said yesterday. Paul Durant, 47, a convicted armed robber from East London, will be tried in November for the killing of Karen Durrell, from Ilford.
